General Policies
All users must complete the Facility Request Form and email it to AggieRad@tamu.edu before access to the facility can be provided.
All users are required to have a pre-existing radioactive material permit for the nuclides that they will be using. Please contact the Radiological Safety Office for assistance. The AggieRad laboratories, TEAG 027 and TEAG 029, must be authorized use locations on the license.
In general, users are required to work between 8:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M. Central time. After-hours access is available on request, but there must be a compelling technical reason. Requests will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
When using the spectroscopic instruments, users should prepare their samples in their own laboratories and seal them before transfer to AggieRad. This will help to minimize the possibility of contamination.
AggieRad does NOT take possession of radioactive material. All users are required to remove their radioactive material after their experiments are complete.
Currently, AggieRad is only available for users within Texas A&M University units located in Brazos County, Texas.
For more information, please see our FAQs.
Location
AggieRad is located in the Teague building in rooms 027 and 029.
